This work is not built on grief theory alone. It is shaped by education, professional experience, and a deeply personal understanding of sibling grief.
Meet Katy
Hi, I’m Katy Bone — founder of Blessings for Barrett, author, counselor by training, wife, and mom.
Blessings for Barrett was born from the life and loss of our son, Barrett, and from watching how his death affected our entire family — especially his siblings.
My professional background helped me understand grief. My children helped me understand where the gaps were.

Today, I bring those two worlds together to advocate for grieving siblings and create resources that help children feel seen, supported, and remembered in their grief. What began with our family's story has grown into a mission to make sure no child has to navigate sibling loss feeling forgotten.
